How NOT to look like a tourist

I have spent the last 10 days cruising through Alaska and looking like a TOTAL tourist.  So in case you are headed to our neck of the woods anytime soon, here are a few tips!

What's new?

 We moved back to CA (still apartment hunting, sadly)

But we are loving the gorgeous foliage and spring flowers everywhere! 

Spent a weekend in San Francisco with my sister before her business trip to London.

 I've been able to hang out with my favorite 2 year old

 Why I love working in Real Estate: Every day is an adventure! 

We got a call from Animal Control that someone had put 20 goats on a property we had listed.

 Ry man has been cooking up gourmet BBQ meals for me! 

 My adopted baby sister went to Senior Ball (Doesn't she look like a movie star??)

We had a lobster bake and a Golden State Warriors playoff party

We are loving being back in CA and being closer to my family.

It has been an adjustment from being students and working part time to working full time. It is so nice to finish at the end of the day and be done! No homework, no studying. Its the best.  

Now we are just working on getting into the perfect apartment! 

My Happy Place

We needed a little escape from finals this last weekend so we took  an afternoon and went up to Salt Lake for some shopping.  Ryan was in need of some new clothes for upcoming interviews so I was able to play my favorite game (his least favorite game) of dress up!  After shopping for my handsome hubby, I dragged him around to a few of my favorite stores as well.  Does it get ANY better than Anthropologie?

New York, New York

A few years ago my oldest sister lived in New York for a while. Although I am forever grateful she is back where she belongs (on the west coast, in San Francisco, as close to me as possible!) I do miss having an excuse to go visit New York. I spent a couple of weeks with her one summer and she opened my small town eyes up to the beauty of the big city. I was enchanted. The lights, the people, the constant movement, I fell in love with New York. 

I love going back and visiting but I still have such fond memories of my first trip.  We stumbled upon a perfume shop one afternoon. It was called "I Hate Perfume", so naturally, we had to investigate. We met the shop owners and they told us about their budding new perfume company. They didn't like the "one scent fits all" idea of perfume, so they made custom perfume creations right there in their shop. We found the most incredible, delicious, bizarre creations there. I left with my first 2 bottles of perfume, or "I hate perfume". One called At The Beach 1966 (which they still have!). While cleaning out my bathroom recently I came across my At The Beach 1966 bottle and decided to do a little research to see if I Hate Perfume is still around. They are, and they are ALL OVER THE PLACE.  So check it out- it will be a perfume experience you will not regret!

Yellow

April is my favorite month of the year. It officially marks the beginning of Spring; beautiful weather, flowers blooming, my birthday, our wedding anniversary, and this April we will also be celebrating our graduation!
